Michelle: Los Angeles California, visiting thee observatory/ then grabbing a bite to eat at Clifton’s and end it at the Redwood bar in dtla for some live rock n’ roll!
Suzi: We are from Los Angeles, CA - the land of rock n roll! The best stuff to do here is... Eat tacos, go to the beach, make music with your friends, and hangout at all the badass music venues around the city! We actually all met at The Redwood Bar in Downtown LA!
Rikki: LA baby! The best thing is music and art.
2- What does your name stand for and what was the runner up?
Michelle: A female terminating Machine from the future past. and there was actually no runner up!
Suzie: L.A. Machina is a robo babe supergroup from the future sent back in time to save rock n roll! We didn't really have any runner up names, we knew this was it!!
Rikki: There was no runner up. We are machines together. Working together.
3- Describe your sound using a movie title.
Michelle: Mad Max/The Terminator meets Barbarella
Suzi: Tank Girl meets Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas meets Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls !!!
Rikki: Iron Sky
4- Describe each band member using a meal.
Michelle: Rikki is Poke bowls and Suzi is burritos
Suzi - I am spicy veggie curry, Michelle is homemade tamales and Rikki is ice cream sundae
Rikki: Michelle is a spicy pepper salsa and Suzi is sweet cherry pie
5- Name 3 bands who would headline your dream fest?
Michelle: The Stooges, The Rolling Stone, The Chesterfield kings
Suzie: Iggy & The Stooges, David Bowie, The Clash
Rikki: Rolling Stones, Iggy POP, ACDC
6- For or not being described as "female fronted"?
Michelle: were just friends & musicians in a rock n’roll band making music together. We just happen to be female, i don’t really think about.
Suzie: It's cool, I don't mind it. We are women, I like to embrace that!
Rikki: Nope
7- Are you signed on a label and why?
Michelle: our double single is under Alternative Tentacles. Rikki and I had a couple of our own songs in the past under that label. Glad we are working with them again! Independent labels are great for bands getting great distribution as far as getting your music out to thee listeners.
Suzie: Yes! We are signed to Jello Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label. We love being a part of the AT family!
Rikki: Yes because Alternative Tentacles are family.
8- What's the most punk thing you've seen on tour/in a show?
Michelle: At a show a singer of a band that I had shared bills with climbed thee telephone pole to thee top with no shirt on and kept singing.
Suzi: Shit, I've been lucky to see a ton of mind blowing performances in my time... That is really tough to answer! But every time I see The Bronx, I die a little bit. Matt is an incredible frontman!!!
Rikki: Shirts off parties
9- Best quarantine activies?
Michelle: creating song ideas on my guitar & 8track, playing records, indoor cycling.
Suzi: Sex, yoga, cooking, and rock n 'roll.
Rikki: Writing music, gardening, and exercising
10- What's the best way to support your band?
Michelle: getting involved with the band & contributing with thee help of exposing our music to others and sharing. This band is really dedicated to all our fans and friends!
