Psycotic Scum is an all female hardcore punk/crossover band from Whittier in California and this year they are celebrating their 20th anniversary. During two decades the band played relentlessly, mostly DIY shows, and put out a few releases, including the amazing 2020 EP, " Holy Hypocrite ", who made of our list of "best albums of the year". We thought it was a great occasion to have a little chat with the band, to talk about their evolution and what motivates them to go on. --------------------- First of all, congrats on your 20 years! They were recently confirmed as and opener on Limp Bizkit 's upcoming arena tour, which is set to begin next month, but before that, they are getting on the road with Touché Amoré , Vein FM , Militarie Gun and Closer , next week, and will be stopping by Montreal on the 24th, at the Fairmount Theatre .  We got in touch with singer, Kat Moss , to learn more about the band and her musical background.  ----------------- Hey Kat, thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us.   Our collective is not just punk, it is first and foremost, feminist. Feminist means that we will always fight for equal opportunities for women and non-binary artists in the punk and underground scene. It also means that we will always advocate for safer spaces within this scene. And just like that another year went by. A year where we got to see live shows making a return (the virus did too to fuck it up of course), and even though they were mostly locals bands, they were a lot of fun (see you next year Bikini Kill!). The Last Mile is a hardcore punk band from Montreal, who just released the first single off their debut full length album, "Respect The Frequency" , so we thought it was the perfect time to talk with bassist Stephanie Cole , to learn more about the band and where they are from.
